Produce prescriptions top request for MAHA nutrition policies

The International Fresh Produce Association is calling for the Trump administration to prioritize fruit and vegetable consumption as part of its new Make America Healthy Again Commission.

Nutrition and Health Vice President Mollie Van Lieu tells Brownfield future polices could help reverse diet-related diseases.

“We really have eight main policies, but the one where we think has the most opportunity is around produce prescriptions, and it’s a significant opportunity for both farmers and the American consumers,” she says.
