BENSON — The Local Co-op and Benson Hospital launched a pilot program providing fresh produce prescriptions to patients with diet-related health conditions in Cochise County.
The 90-day initiative will enroll 20 eligible patients who will receive weekly supplies of locally grown produce along with nutritional education and health monitoring. The hospital will track patients’ A1C levels, body mass index and blood pressure to evaluate the program’s effectiveness, according to Benson Hospital……
