Hurley’s Food FARMacy helping deliver nutrition to those in need

BURTON, Mich. (WJRT) – Hurley Medical Center in Flint is doing its part to help patients get the food they need to manage health issues.

ABC12 learned more about its Food FARMacy and how they are delivering nutritious food to those in need.

The Food FARMacy feeds 7,000 patients every year and the coordinator and nutrition specialist has found creative ways to make sure folks who have challenges to getting here still have access to nutritious food.

“They send me awesome food, and it’s really helped me a lot through the winter,” Lalonnie Sherman of Mount Morris said.
