Congratulations to all the HRSA MP3 grantees! Yesterday, the agency announced $13 million in funding to 27 awardees. This funding is a huge step forward for our movement – mothers and babies across the country will soon be receiving produce prescriptions!
Access to nutritious foods like fruits and vegetables improves maternal health, fetal development, and recovery after birth. The MP3 program supports community-based organizations to develop produce prescription programs that help pregnant and postpartum women in low-income and medically underserved areas access fruits and vegetables.
Congrats to NPPC members among the award recipients: Community Outreach and Patient Empowerment (COPE), Dion’s Chicago Dream, and ChristianaCare.
