The fresh food box program in Salinas has resumed, providing essential produce to families in need after a sudden funding cut.

“It messed up our routine we already had plans that this is something that we did weekly and that’s one of the reasons that it impacted our workers so much,” said Nataly Avalos, an employee at Avalos Farm. “These boxes are very important for the community and our workers also depend on the work that they do to bring these boxes to the community.”…
