YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) December 4, 2025 — A Youngstown organization has been awarded nearly half a million dollars to help feed the Valley.
The Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corporation was awarded a $483,000 grant from the USDA Gus Schumacher Nutrition Incentive Program, Produce Prescription Program.This award will provide three years of funding for Glenwood Fresh Market in partnership with the Mercy Health Mahoning Valley Foundation.“YNDC is honored to receive this grant award that will strengthen the evidence based approach the Glenwood Fresh Market provides to increase healthy eating and lifestyles of residents of the Mahoning Valley,” said Ian Beniston, YNDC executive director……
