Between March and April 2026, the Center for Nutrition & Health Impact (CNHI) conducted a series of ten semi-structured interviews with leading national experts across the Food is Medicine (FIM) ecosystem, spanning nonprofit, payer, technology, and healthcare sectors. These interviews were designed to identify actionable insights in response to two questions: How can enrollment be expanded in regions where FIM coverage already exists, and what bold ideas could accelerate increased coverage, access, and scale nationwide. This document summarizes key themes and offers strategic recommendations to inform strategies in advancing FIM initiatives.
