A partnership between the Bassett Healthcare Network and Cooperstown Food Pantry is giving cancer patients one less thing to worry about.
The “Food is Medicine” program provides cancer patients with free food that works around their dietary restrictions.
Karen Cassara works on her hobbies as she receives treatment for stage four colon cancer.
“I have a senior granddaughter. Then I have another granddaughter, in a year and a half, two years, going to be graduating. I want to be around for it all. I’m going to hoot and holler. Get me a megaphone,” she said……
